Experienced in telling stories by means of visual communication. In addition to my singles and spot news coverage I am usually working on an editorial project and finding new ways to drive interest in news and stories and finding the most effective way of incorporating photo, video, audio and graphics. Below is a list of my most recent projects:

  • GRIDLESS

North of the vacated remains of Terlingua, Texas, an unincorporated ghost-mining town situated miles away from Big Bend National Park, sits a small construction site on a clearing of alkali sand...

  • Concealed Campus

web

I have a knack for making things on the Web function and look nice while doing it. My experience in web development focuses on design and development for the inexperienced web user. I am skilled in HTML5, CSS, Javascript, PHP, and open source content management systems such as Drupal and Wordpress. As an STA for the University of Texas at Austin, I typically develop websites for organizations, programs, professors, and departments. After communicating to discover what the web-package should do and how it should appear, I create mockup images of how the finished product will look and then code and/or style the site with a CMS custom fit for the needs of its user

My understanding of design, the arrangement of colors, typography, patterns, and negative space stems from my background in photography. While most of my design work deals with the presentation and appearance of web pages, I appreciate the use of art with design to convey a message. My experience allows me to design identity systems (business cards, logos, resumes), posters, mock-ups, web sites, signs, and other creative projects for multiple mediums. In my free time I enjoy fulfilling graphic art projects that are released under the Creative Commons License for distribution.

  • UT Hebrew

The UT Hebrew Site is current project in its final phases of development. The design was wireframed and illustrated by Camri Hinki and I led the development and content management. Developed as a custom Drupal theme using the 960.gs.
